I currently work as a Managing Consultant with IBM specialising in Cyberpsychology. Having spent over 10 years exploring our use of technology and the Internet commercially and academically I now use this knowledge to provide strategic solutions to technology related business problems. For more information on my professional skills and experience please click here.

I have worked for the UKs most successful digital agencies including AKQA and Dare where I founded digital specific Research and Insight departments. In 2008 I authored an “acclaimed white paper” researching trends in mobile phone usage and attitudes in both the US and UK on behalf of AKQA and dotMobi. I have also worked for, amongst others, PlayStation, The Telegraph, Dare and Work Club.

My MSc thesis in Cyberpsychology (NTU, 2009) explored how people construct their moral identity in and out of online virtual environments. I have also undertaken research designed to understand people’s use of online social networks. For more information on my academic research please click here.

In April 2009 I was invited to contribute to the Telegraph’s technology blog in order to provide a cyberpsychological perspective on the impact of technology on behaviour and society. Read my blog posts here.

In February 2011 I presented on Social Media and Social TV at the Cranfield Customer Management Forum drawing upon my background in Cyberpsychology to explain key motives for user behaviour in these environments. I also recently co-authored an IBM white paper entitled "Smarter Channels" designed to advise businesses on future facing multichannel customer contact strategies.

I have a personal interest in the philosophy and psychology of Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and….robots!
